The South Metro Fire Department and the Twin Cities Chapter of the American Red Cross will be visiting families, speaking about fire safety, and installing free smoke alarms in West St. Paul and South St. Paul on Monday, October 16 from noon to 5 p.m., 2023.
“Home fires claim seven lives every day, but having working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half,” said Terry Johnson, South Metro Deputy Fire Chief. “Through this Sound the Alarm event, our fire department, Red Cross volunteers and community partners will help make our communities safer from home fires.”
