Join us for a presentation about how Germany’s most pedestrian beverage became an economic and cultural force in the city of St. Paul nearly a decade before Minnesota reached statehood. Through captivating stories and intriguing lore—including everything from beer gardens and beer caves to kidnappings and kit bars—we will delve into the profound impact of beer on life beyond the breweries in St. Paul’s German Upper Town.
Presenter Michelle Berg is both a historian and a classically trained actress. Her passion for the humanities, combined with her background in stage acting, provided her with the unique opportunity to establish Celestial Tours, where she serves as both owner and tour operator.
