Dakota County Offering Free Water Testing Kit and Open Houses.
Attend an Open House hosted by Dakota County on Tuesday, April 30, 5-8pm at the Dakota Lodge in Thompson Park. Complete a survey and receive a free water test kit for lead. The kit is for city water or private well use. At the Open House, you can share your ideas on groundwater and land conservation in Dakota County. There are additional Open Houses coming up in Farmington, Hampton, and Hastings for private well owners to bring a water sample to for a nitrate test and results while they wait.
